I was impressed with the team of Phil & Tom, quick, clean & polite (behind their masks). Phil instructed me how to open & close hatch. How to safely operate the ladder. The boarding neat & sufficient. And at last with the LED light I can see the loft much better than with my head torch.
Work completed in under 2 hrs. Small amount of “Vacuum action” required. Good job done, I can now get rid of the step ladders.

We’ve just had a loft ladder and 100 sq ft of boarding fitted today and we are very pleased with the work. They also rotated our loft hatch 180 degrees as it opened the wrong way! You honestly cannot tell that any work has taken place as the two guys who installed it were very efficient and cleaned up everything so there was no mess left. I was also given a demonstration of how it all worked before they left. We got a total of 3 quotes and Yorkshire Loft Ladders were the cheapest we had but their work is top notch and I can’t fault them.

Turned up at the time arranged, efficiently fitted the new hatch and ladder and fitted 50 sq meters loft storage which is all we needed, a new light fitted in loft and moved an existing light fitting which conflicted with the new hatch, cleaned up left it tidy gave instructions to how to open new hatch and pull the ladder down and put it away. There was a little bit of decorating to tidy up which is now done all looks great would recommend this service. I would just like to say a massive thank you to you and your team and especially to Mark who went above and beyond to make our loft accessible to me with my mobility issues.
As you know I have a bad back and knees with limited mobility so we opted for the flat tread wooden ladders with the rail on. We also decided to have the centre of the loft boarded so that we could use the space for storage.
Mark has done a great job of lowering the height I had to climb from the top step to the loft floor and made more of a walkway at the entry to the loft to make it safer for me.
For the first time in the eleven years that we have lived in our bungalow, we now have full access to the loft giving us the equivalent of another room for storage.

Paul and Dave have this week extended my loft opening, boarded my loft and installed a loft ladder. Just a run of the mill occurrence for some but I live in a tiny terraced cottage, over 160 years old with a really shallow loft you can only stand up in one place and with an opening that has to come into my bedroom because there is no landing area. I didn’t think it could be done, but they have and I now have a home for the suitcases, Christmas tree and decorations and any number of other items I don’t really need. Their task was made even harder because nothing in the house is straight but they did it without complaint, without stopping until it was right and only asked for a cup of tea when the soot and dust got the better of them!!

Thanks for the work Paul, currently filling the space! The loft space has really provided the storage that we needed leaving cupboards and wardrobes free for proper use ! Paul did a great job on my loft above our new extension. This telescopic type ladder system that he suggested was the perfect solution to the problem that I had getting into the loft over a single bed. The boarding he used was also ideal. His price was excellent compared to quotes from builders and joiners. Also I never would have known about the telescopic ladder had Paul not suggested it. Great job would definitely recommend.

Paul and Dave have this week extended my loft opening, boarded my loft and installed a loft ladder. Just a run of the mill occurrence for some but I live in a tiny terraced cottage, over 160 years old with a really shallow loft you can only stand up in one place and with an opening that has to come into my bedroom because there is no landing area. I didn’t think it could be done, but they have and I now have a home for the suitcases, Christmas tree and decorations and any number of other items I don’t really need. Their task was made even harder because nothing in the house is straight but they did it without complaint, without stopping until it was right and only asked for a cup of tea when the soot and dust got the better of them!!
I am really pleased with the outcome, with the very fair cost and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Thank you both!

Thanks for the work Paul, currently filling the space! The loft space has really provided the storage that we needed leaving cupboards and wardrobes free for proper use ! Paul was very helpful and friendly from the outset providing the advice we needed. We didn’t feel under any pressure at all. On the day the job took 6 hours, there were mild complications with what he had planned but he solved these problems very easily. We needed the access relocating, extra joists to stop the insulation being compacted and loft boarding as well as ladders fitted. He made sure we were confident operating ladders safely when the work was done. Very impressed and very pleased to recommend.

Two years ago, after falling off a stepladder and injuring myself whilst trying to access my loft, I asked Paul at Yorkshire Loft Ladders to install a loft ladder and board out my loft. I have to say that I was very impressed with Paul when he came out today to fit the loft out for me and the job he has done is excellent. The boards are secure and clearly solid and the ladder has been fitted well allowing easy access into the loft. The light he fitted was even better than expected. He worked in a very tidy manner and finished the job in a single morning. Thank you for doing a great job. Just a shame the loft doesn’t look as good now that I have filled it with all my clutter!
